Every new teacher starts with a name, a set of grades, and whatever the last lot remembered to pass on. The school's software does not come with you.

The rules

Six of the ten rules behind it

The other four are about who the record belongs to.

  1. Every claim shows its evidence

    The marks, the homework and the notes behind it. Disagree with something you can read.

  2. It never diagnoses

    Not as a label, and not softened into “you may want to explore whether”.

  3. It never says what your child cannot do

    Nothing it writes may put a ceiling on them.

  4. Not measured is never a weakness

    A subject nobody has assessed reads as “nothing recorded yet”.

  5. Your child is never measured against another child

    No percentile, no ranking, no “children like yours”.

  6. Your child opens a different page from you

    You see development areas. They see what to do next — the server never sends them yours.

What it will not tell you

It will not decide your child is a visual learner

Learning styles have been tested many times and have not held up. We are not willing to sell it to you.

  • No style, no type, no category of learner.
  • No label a child could carry for years.
  • No sentence about what they are unlikely to manage.

The family's half is built and tested; the teacher and school lenses are not written yet. No family is using it, so we have nothing to show you about what it changes, and we will not make something up.
